Nicole isn’t the kind of leader who sits back and sets direction from a distance. She wants to be in it. Close to the action. Where you can feel the pulse, the tension, the energy building in the room. That’s how she works and that’s how she leads.
She heads up Bella Presents, a division that didn’t exist just four years ago. Today, it brings together large-scale in-house events and a thriving rental business - Bogforum, Copenhagen Gaming Week, concerts, fitness events, exhibitions, and pop-up formats of all kinds. It’s a fast-moving, high-pressure part of the business, defined by big ambitions, tight margins, and intense peak periods.
“You can’t do this alone.”
Nicole didn’t start out in events. Her background spans the travel industry, marketing, and publishing. But a common thread has always been her drive to build, to experiment, and to do things differently. So when the opportunity came to step into events at Bella Center Copenhagen, she didn’t hesitate - she jumped in. Fully. Taking ownership, taking risks, and making sure she stayed close to execution, not just strategy.
Today, she leads a team of 11 - people with very different profiles, strengths, and passions.
“It’s an amazing team,” she says, smiling: “In every sense of the word.”
“We’re really good at celebrating each other. And that makes a difference.”
What matters most to her is that people genuinely care about what they do. That they enjoy coming to work. That there’s room to laugh. And that success is something you recognize together.
“We’re really good at celebrating each other,” she says: “And that makes a difference.”
But for Nicole, community goes far beyond her own team. What really lights her up are the moments when the whole organization comes together - when security, production, AV, event design, F&B, and cleaning are all moving in sync, working toward the same goal.
“In those moments, nothing else exists,” she says: “It’s just the event.”
That shared momentum - that feeling of everyone contributing to something bigger - is something she hasn’t experienced anywhere else at the same level.
“It’s an amazing team. In every sense of the word.”
For her, collaboration isn’t a nice-to-have. It’s what everything depends on. If it doesn’t work, things fall apart. That’s why she’s intentional about involving the right people early, leaning into the expertise across the organization, and asking for help before it’s too late.
“You can’t do this alone,” she says: “You have to speak up, and be willing to be vulnerable, before things start slipping.”
She’s equally open about the realities of the job. Budgets that must hold up. P&Ls that demand attention. Decisions that don’t always pan out. She’s been there - seeing the numbers go the wrong way and learning from it. For Nicole, success is about delivering on targets, growing the commercial potential - especially of Bella Center’s owned events - and building a team that’s engaged and committed.
“In those moments, nothing else exists. It’s just the event.”
At the same time, she’s intentional about marking the small wins along the way. Bringing cake for the team. Sending a quick “great job” text. Calling out successes in meetings. Not as a tactic but because she knows how much it matters.
“It means a lot to me,” she says: “So it’s something I make a point of giving to others.”
When she talks about her team, you can hear the emotion in her voice. The pride. The sense of shared achievement. That’s where she finds the real measure of success - not in the spotlight, but in what they accomplish together.
“It means a lot to me. So it’s something I make a point of giving to others.”
Her passion is unmistakable. And that’s exactly what makes it contagious. She doesn’t lead from the sidelines - she’s part of the movement. Bringing people together, pushing things forward, making sure wins are shared.
Because for Nicole, it’s simple: winning only counts if you do it together.
